My Vision
Are you ready to start writing your first novel? Or have you already written it but you’re not sure what’s next? Maybe you wrote your first draft by the seat of your pants, but after countless revisions, you know something is missing…you just can’t quite put your finger on. Sound familiar?
That was me about 10 years ago. I knew I had a novel in me so I started writing, not knowing where I was going. Eventually I finished that first draft and began editing. But, every edit led to a rewrite. Nine revisions later, I still had an unfinished novel. And what’s worse? It was so far from the original concept it no longer resembled anything I had in mind. Frustrated and defeated, I took a step back.
That’s when I realized I needed to learn the craft.
I threw myself into the world of storytelling. From plot structure to character arcs and everything in between, I devoured every resource I could find. Now that I’ve cracked the code (or at the very least, understand it a lot better), I’m excited to pass that knowledge along to you – so you don’t have to spend so many years feeling frustrated, stuck, and unsure of how to move forward.
Welcome to the place where I break down story-crafting methods, compare their strengths and overlaps, and uncover the core principles that make stories work.
Come along with me as we make sense of storytelling together.

The Craft
Curious about how stories really work? The Craft is where I break down storytelling methods, like Save The Cat, and dive into all aspects of story. I cover plot, character arcs, pacing, and all the good stuff in between. Each post is designed to give you practical insights you can apply to your own writing, with no fluff and no guesswork.
